Below please find a selection of websites (those which we are allowed to put in the public domain).
These are websites that use special code (like ASP.Net, PHP or Coldfusion) and have a database on the 'back end' that holds the information displayed on the website's pages. For example, you may submit a search for products and a list of corresponding products are returned. This product display is a collection of information that is retrieved from the database and displayed for the user depending on the selections that they have made.
Another feature of this kind of website is the ability to send newsletters to customers, have customers subscribe for items/newsletters or accept payments online.
Websites that have a Content Management System (CMS) also fall into this category. The CMS allows the website owner to change the content on website pages in an easy to use fashion, giving them complete control over the management of the site. When creating a website with an integrated CMS, we may create a custom application that suits your needs, or alternatively suggest using an Open Source CMS like Drupal which is more inflexible but may reduce cost significantly.
Irrigation Australia Limited (Coldfusion, mySQL database, website design)
The Irrigation Association of Australia underwent a merge and a make over and BLAST was with them all the way!
We worked closely with the design company responsible for their new branding by specifying a website design that was attractive and highly functional for its members. BLAST then customised its proprietary content management system to allow IAL staff to manage their website content.
What a wonderful new look...
Frostbland (ASP.Net, MS SQL Database)
Frostbland needed to portray a visually stimulating and elegant atmosphere, but at the same time illustrate their commercial soundness and market stature.
A beautiful home page with rotating banner images managed to achieve this perfectly. An ASP.Net content management system, powered by a Microsoft SQL Server Database allowed them to manage the brands displayed, capture online requests and upload password protected documents for clients to access.
Take a look...
Imagemakers Ladies Office Wear
(ColdFusion, MySQL Database)
BLAST was employed to create a website that allowed users to view their Corporate Wear range online as well as being able to request a Catalogue or Price List.
Download time is a critical factor since this site is hosted in a country where the majority of their customers only have dial up connections. Thus the design is clean cut and image free. CSS drop down menus are used, rather than graphics and Javascript which would slow down the pages further.
Australian Classic Car (ColdFusion, Access Database)
BLAST designed and built this dynamic website using ColdFusion and an Access Database. The site allows subscribers of the Australian Classic Car Magazine to view their magazine content online by simply logging in. It also allows other users to register for free to view a selection of information. Users can add Classic Car Events Online (see Add Events) and view all current events (or search for events) once they have been approved by ACC admin (see View Events).
Users can add their car advertisements online (see Add Car For Sale Advert) as well as ad
ding Classifieds Adverts online. Users can also search for cars listed (see Private Cars For Sale) or can search and view a Classifieds section. Users can subscribe to the Australian Classic Car Magazine online too. Admin Functions have been built to process all these submissions.
